Hyperion is a Small Woolwich motor boat, and is now used to deliver coal and diesel to customers on the southern end of the Grand Union Canal.

We used Hyperion just once when in the ownership of Kevin Jackson in 2003. He loaded 18 tonnes of solid fuel and joined us on one of our regular trips up north to the Weaver Navigation. Incidentally, Kevins’ brother used to own and operates Tipton as a fuel boat on the Kennet & Avon Canal.

The above picture shows Hyperion tied on the outside of Roach across the canal from our wharf at Awbridge, just before setting off for the Weaver.
